Actor Training Program Audition Information

Download the ATP Application Information and Materials

Applications for prospective students attending on-campus auditions are due by February 29, 2012. Applications for off-campus auditions must be brought by prospective students to their audition. Incomplete applications cannot be processed, so be sure that all required items are included in your application packet.

All students admitted to the Actor Training Program must also be admitted to the University of Utah, which is separate application process. Please visit University of Utah Admissions website for more information and applications.

Applying for Financial Aid and Scholarships is also a separate process. Please visit University of Utah Financial Aid and Scholarships for more information and applications.

Admission to the Actor Training Program is by audition only. We prefer applicants to audition in-person. Applicants may come to the University of Utah and participate in our on-campus auditions or audition in one of the cities we visit as part of the National Unified Audition Tour. If you are an applicant who lives outside of the United States, or in an extreme case where an in-person audition is not possible, you may submit a DVD with your application materials.

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to informally talk with ATP instructors and current students.

Participants should arrive to the audition in loose, comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement to participate in the mini-classes. They will be given time to change into appropriate attire to sing and present their monologues.
