Individual Tickets and Season Flexpass Information

General Public and U Faculty Staff Individual tickets and Season Flexpasses (drop down for information) may be purchased by phone at 801-581-7100, online at www.kingsburyhall.org, or at the Performing Arts Ticket Office (located in Kingsbury Hall) in advance of the production they wish to attend at any time up until 6:00 PM on the day of the performance. Tickets may also be purchased at the respective theatre beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance if seats are available.

University of Utah students may receive free tickets to most theatre events with a valid Ucard through the College of Fine Arts U and the Arts program.

Season Flexpasses

Season Flexpasses provide a way for theatre-lovers to ensure they get seats to the shows they want to see at a great discount rate and with ease and flexibility. With each Flexpass, subscribers and are entitled to 10 tickets to be used in any combination they wish. Subscribers may split their tickets up to see multiple shows, or use multiple tickets for a single show. Subscribers are issued a punch card to be kept throughout the season and shown at the Performing Arts Ticket Office (located at Kingsbury Hall) in advance of the production they wish to attend to redeem for tickets, or at the theatre’s will-call window beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance they wish to attend to redeem for tickets.

Although subscribers can always pick up their tickets at will-call at the time of the performance if seats are available, it is recommended that they reserve their seats in advance at the Kingsbury Hall ticket office, or check ticket availability as many productions sell out.

What are the benefits of the Flexpass?

  • Incredible savings over single ticket prices. General Public pay only $95 plus a one-time $5 processing fee per pass. (Purchasing individual tickets to each show would cost $145 plus $15-$18 in ticket handling fees if purchased individually.) University Faculty/Staff pay only $75 plus a one-time $5 processing fee per pass. (Purchasing individual tickets to each show would cost $116 plus $15-18 in ticket handling fees.)
  • Tickets can be shared with family and friends.
  • Convenience. Order tickets all at once, or show by show.

U and the Arts

Beginning Fall 2011, the U and the Arts program, a campus wide initiative launched by the College of Fine Arts, will offer free access to the arts to all students of the University of Utah in order to support and enrich the educational experience of all U of U students.

By showing their valid UCard, all matriculated students of the University of Utah will receive:

  • Free admission to most College of Fine Arts events including most Theatre Department productions, Art Department Exhibitions in the Gittins Gallery and Art Guest Lectures, Ballet Department and Modern Dance Department performances in the Marriott Center for Dance, Film Department screenings and events, and School of Music performances in the David Gardner Hall. (Select fundraising, scholarship and special events are not included.)
  • Admission to Kingsbury Hall Presents series for only $5 with no ticketing or handling fees.
  • Two free admissions to each Pioneer Theatre Company production at student rush (one hour before curtain).
  • Free admission to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts

Only one ticket will be administered to qualified students for each event, with the exception of Pioneer Theatre Company performances. For Department of Theatre events, U students may purchase an additional ticket at the discounted rate of $7.50. Faculty/Staff discounts and non-U of U student discounts still apply. For more information, visit www.finearts.utah.edu.

While admission to most Department of Theatre productions is free to University of Utah students, all previews and performances are ticketed events. Tickets must be obtained in advance at the Kingsbury Hall Ticket office, online at www.kingsburyhall.org, by phone at 801-581-7100, or at the door if seats are available.
