Jesse Portillo is happy to join the faculty at the University of Utah. He received his BFA from the University of Utah and his MFA in Lighting Design from Indiana University.
Locally, Jesse has worked as a Lighting Designer for Plan-B Theater Company, Pygmalion Theater, the Egyptian Theatre Company, the Grand Theater and Salt Lake Shakespeare. Jesse has also worked as an assistant Lighting Designer at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival where he was awarded the Richard L. Hay Design Fellowship, and has also worked with the Bloomington Playwrights Project and Purple Bench Productions.
