Jara Wimmer

Jara is the Accountant for the Department of Theatre. Her job duties and responsibilities include payroll for staff, faculty, and guest artists; departmental budget; and all aspects of the department's accounting needs. In addition to working with the Department of Theatre's productions throughout the year, Jara also is the Business Manager for Salt Lake Shakespeare, the Classical Greek Theatre Festival, and the Youth Theatre Program at the U. What she enjoys most about her job is assisting the students, staff and faculty with their academic and artistic endeavors.

Jara graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies in 1999. After working as a customer service supervisor on campus for three years, Jara joined the Department of Theatre in 2000.
