Warren Holz is a licensed esthetician with the state of Utah. He comes to us from The Salt Lake Community College where he has also taught the stage Make-up course. Since 1998 Warren has been in charge of creating original wig and make-up designs for the summer and Halloween seasons at Lagoon. He also designed the magically unique costumes and make-up for The Witching Hour an original main stage show for frightmares at Lagoon.

Warren has presented workshops at the annual Utah Theatre Association Conferences for the last several years. During the previous five years he has been invited as a guest artist to lecture and demonstrate his skills at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln Nebraska. The Georgia State Thespian conference has also benefited from his educational workshops. He has also been invited to other states including Texas and Hawaii. A picture of Warren in action can be seen in the December 2000 Issue of Dramatics magazine.

Warren just received the Utah State Sunrise Award for the rocky mountain division of the Look Good...Feel Better program which is sponsored by CTFA (Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association) American Cancer Society and the Cosmetology Association. Once a month Warren facilitates a session of the Look Good...Feel Better program at the Huntsman Cancer Institute to help female cancer patients deal with esthetic effects of cancer through make-up and wigs. See the article in Winter 2002 issue of The Signal, a news letter for the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Warren designed the wigs for the 2000 season of the Utah Musical Theatre where he worked with Erin Moran of (Happy Day's and Joni Loves Chachi) in Lost In Yonkers. He also hand tied and lace fronted a wig for Alien Quinn (Annie in the 1980 film with Carol Burnett) for her role as Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

In 1995 Warren was asked to design the make-up for the original outdoor musical extravaganzaUTAH at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts. He was also the assistant wig master under the direction of the late Barbara Williams who received her training from Bob Kelly. Together Barbara, Warren and their small team were responsible for hand tying over 120 laced fronted wigs. Warren also stayed on through the summer to help clean and maintain the 1860 styles for these wigs.

Warren assisted in applying prosthetic appliances in different techniques on witches and zombies for Nightmare on I-15, a commercial for UTA. He has designed make-up, wigs and costumes for The Tempest, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, two productions of The Wiz, Little Shop of Horrors, Once on this Island, Mame, Guys and Dolls, and The Wizard of Oz for various High Schools along the Wasatch Front. He has also done promotional work for Lagoon, Salt Lake Metropolitan Theatre Company, Park City Silver Mine Adventure, KSL, JNCO Jeans and The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily Circus.
