Peder teaches  acting, scene study, and audition techniques  in the Actor Training Program.  He holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  Prior to his arrival at the University of Utah, Peder  taught acting and voice at the University of Alabama, where he was head of the undergraduate and graduate acting programs, directed and acted in the University season and was a member of the Diversity Committee.  He also taught, directed and acted at the University of Wisconsin - Madison after earning his acting MFA.  Before his academic career began, he taught scene study in New York and Los Angeles.

 

A member of AEA, SAG and AFTRA, Peder has acted on both coasts and between.  His most recent role was Joe Keller in All My Sons at Madison, Wisconsin.  In Spring 2007, he will perform in a Salt Lake Acting Company production and will direct The Heidi Chronicles in Studio 115.
