Valentine and Proteus are the best of friends until, of course, a woman comes between them. Friendship
and passion entangle all in this clever comedy about the fickle nature of love and the jealousies that can
drive people mad with desire.

Picnic on the Plaza

Beginning at 6:00 p.m. nightly, patrons are invited to “Picnic on the Plaza.” The lush lawns outside the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre offer a gracious setting for outdoor dining. Patrons are welcome to bring their own picnic dinner packed with everything they’d like to make the evening special and relaxing, including blankets and/or low seating for lawn dining. A convenient loading zone is available on the south side of the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Building. Open flame grilling is not allowed. Outside food and beverage are also not allowed inside the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre building or in the Babcock Theatre.

The Green Show

Join us for a fun and light-hearted pre-show entertainment presented on the green and plaza surrounding the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Nightly, beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Parking Notice

Due to construction on the new College of Law building located on the corner of 400 South and 1400 East, parking in the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre lot is very limited. Patrons are encouraged to park in the Rice Eccles Stadium lot located directly across the street to the south of the theatre. It is only a one block 5-minute walk to the theatre. Patrons can also ride TRAX straight to the Stadium TRAX station on the University TRAX Line. For more information about parking on campus and a map, click here. Download a parking map here.
