Winner of three Tony Awards, URINETOWN tells of greed, love, and
revolution. Water has become so scarce that a monopolistic corporation
controls the town’s public amenities. Destitute citizens are assessed
massive taxes and fines for their most private and basic of needs.
Finally, a hero rises to lead his fellow citizens against the tyrannical
regime.

The Babcock Theatre presents the Tony-winning
sensation with the awful name, Urinetown The Musical. The play
runs November 8-12 and 16-19; 7:30 pm Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 pm
on Sunday, with a matinee at 2:30 pm on Saturday the 18th. The
Babcock is located downstairs in Pioneer Memorial Theatre on the
University of Utah campus. Tickets are $12 general admission, $6 for
students, and can be purchased through Kingsbury Ticket Office, 581-7100
or
www.kingtix.com.
Is Urinetown deep? Nope. Will you leave the
theatre with new insight? Nope. Will you find new hope for the future?
Nope. Will you be a better person? Nope. Then what will an evening in
Urinetown do for you? It will make you laugh. A lot. So come
enjoy the show, and we promise to let you use our restrooms for free.
