A modern fairy-tale of a young couple who fall frantically in love—he, a hopeless optimist; she, more prone to darkness and pessimism. As they struggle to come to terms with their relationship, something supernatural tests its permanence.

Studio 115 at the University of Utah Department of Theatre opens its season with the psychological fantasy Prelude to a Kiss.  Performances are in Studio 115 in the Performing Arts Building, at 7:30 pm Thursday through Saturday, October 12-15, with a matinee Friday October 14 at 4:30 pm and a matinee Sunday October 15 at 2:00 pm.  ASL interpreters will be available at the performance on Thursday, October 12.

The story of Rita and Peter, a charming young couple who fall quickly, madly in love, takes a surprising twist on their wedding day.  As the couple settles into their honeymoon, Peter becomes suspicious of Rita’s behavior. His suspicions become obsessive as he convinces himself that Rita is not the same person he married.  A guest from the wedding may have the answers that Peter seeks.  Can the couple be reconciled, or is the relationship doomed?

Come experience this dark fairy tale that asks, “How well can we really know another person?”  Tickets are $9 general admission, $7 for senior citizens and University employees, and $5 for students.  They can be purchased through Kingsbury Ticket Office at 581-7100 or www.kingtix.com.
